An open palapa at the quiet end of Playa Norte. Round beams and reeds overhead, clay lattice along the sides, one long tiled bar running the width of the room. On the sea side there are no walls — the tables simply run out until they meet the sand.
Everything here is cooked over fire. Firewood for the pizzas, coals for the cuts, and a catch of the day that arrives whole and is weighed in front of you — served the same whether you are at a table, at the bar, or on a bed in the sand.

Amazing service! Sunny, our server, was very wonderful and attentive. The location is unbeatable — the right side of Playa Norte, the most gorgeous water, perfect white silky sand. A day bed on the beach is to die for with some great drinks and food! Also shout out to Pepe, who wasn’t even our server, who brought the positive energy and fun conversations.
Refreshing drinks, delicious tacos, and a comfy lounger in the shade! When you need food or drinks, Sunny will make them appear. The fish taco is bomb, and the drinks are all delicious.
Service on the beach was outstanding — Sonny and Brenda were our servers. Agustin and Victor manned the bar, and our drinks were perfect every single time: refreshing, well-made, and served with a smile.
I have come here every single day that I’ve been on this paradise island. That’s 34 days. The superb and enormous lobster, the seasonal fruit smoothies, the non-alcoholic piña coladas for the kids. The ceviche took me three hours to savor today.
Four trips in the last two years to Isla and we spend most of our afternoons here. Ask for Sonny, hands down — and the lobster is the largest you’ll get on the island for the price.
